Boutique @ 10 is a unique guest house located on the edge of Camps Bay’s central ravine, offering four guest suites. It’s a boutique style villa, perfectly centered above Camps Bay Beach, giving you a full panoramic views of the coastal landscape as far as the eye can see.

The guest house is positioned in the heart of Camps Bay on the Atlantic Seaboard, with popular tourist spots like the Table Mountain Cable Car Station and the V & A Waterfront located just minutes away. As mentioned, the guest house features four suites, which are serviced daily, and they all include 32 to 40 inch LCD flat screens, Wi-Fi connectivity, air-conditioning for room climate control, electronic safes, hairdryers, tea and coffee trays and en-suites with shower and/or bath.

In addition, three of the guest suites feature beds that can be made into two singles or a king-size, while the Ocean Suite (see below) offers you a stylish, king-size wooden sleigh bed. All beds are draped in pure white linen and splashed with colourful throws, extra length pillows, scatter cushions and are dressed with goose down duvets and flat sheets.

Ocean and Lion’s Head Suites have sliding doors leading to a large common outdoor balcony on the upper level. The Deck Suite opens up to the main pool deck, while the Beach Suite has a private entrance and private garden patio. Both are located on the main level of the house and can accommodate a third single bed on request (third person supplement R400 per night).

Breakfasts are light and healthy, comprising coffee or tea, fresh juice, toast and cereals, eggs, cheese, yoghurt and seasonal fruit. Breakfast is served in the main lounge which flows onto the main wooden pool deck, creating a spacious and inviting area to eat and lounge in.

Beach Suite

The Beach Suite is separate, but still connected to the main house through a Tuscany-like passage, leading into the main house open-plan kitchen area. It features a king-size bed or twin beds and an en-suite with a shower.

The room features air-conditioning, a small kitchenette, a LCD TV, a safe, a standing floor fan and a hairdryer. The Atlantic Ocean is viewed through two windows. Guests can walk through a private entrance into the arched passageway which leads to the private deck and garden area with wooden loungers.

Deck Suite

The suite features a king-size bed which can be made into two single beds and an en-suite bathroom with a separate bath and a shower.

An LCD flat screen TV, tea and coffee tray, a wall safe, a hairdryer, and air-conditioning is also featured in the room. The Deck Suite has double French doors opening up onto the north end of the main pool deck, with views of the Atlantic Ocean and landscape to the south.

Lion’s Head Suite

The Lion’s Head Suite can be made up with either twin beds or a king-size bed. This, the largest of the three suites features a spacious en-suite bathroom with a shower.

The room has an LCD TV, a safe, a hairdryer, tea and coffee tray and air-conditioning. The floors are made of beautifully preserved Oregon pine wood.

There are large sliding doors that open onto the vast upper deck area. The Lion’s Head Suite boasts amazing views of Lion’s Head.

Ocean Suite

The Ocean Suite features old Oregon pine floors and furniture. There is a king-size Oregon pine sleigh bed that faces north-west to views of the slopes of Lion’s Head and the shoreline of Maiden’s Cove.

Large sliding glass doors open onto the upper deck. The large en-suite bathroom features a Jacuzzi bath, a separate shower and a bidet. The room also features a flat screen TV, a safe, a hairdryer, tea and coffee tray and air-conditioning.

Camps Bay

Camps Bay is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful and picturesque suburbs in the world, and if you’ve seen any photographs, it’s easy to see why.

Besides the amazing beaches, restaurants and bars nearby, Camps Bay is also minutes away from popular Cape Town tourist attractions such as Table Mountain, and the V & A Waterfront. Simply put, Camps Bay is the perfect location for the ultimate holiday.

Sports and nature

Camps Bay, as the name suggests, is on the sea and has a number of excellent beaches to enjoy. Oudekraal is made up of a collection of tiny beaches sheltered amongst the boulders and a well established picnic area with lawns, braais, covered seating areas with tables, benches and public toilets.

Lui Bay (also known as Witsand) a popular dive site, in 1977 two scrap vessels (The Antipolis And Romelia) were being towed around the cape when their tow line broke in a storm. This caused the Antipolis to run aground near Oudekraal while the Romelia floundered further south between Llandudno and Sandy Bay. The hull of the Antipolis is now visible at low tide.

Koeël Bay has an African open-air curio market, that sells hand crafted items from all over Africa.

Bakoven gets it name because of a large rock just off-shore with what appears as oven door in its side. There are several sheltered coves located in Bakoven. There is a Sea rescue base stationed here and a popular swimming beach is off Beta Close.

Camps Bay Beach, a Blue Flag Beach since 2008 is the largest white sand beach in Camps Bay. There is a seasonal life guard station with toilets at the west end of the beach.

Glen Beach, at the far right of Camps Bay beach, hidden behind large boulders is Camps Bay's best surfing beach. Short, fast rides and a small take-off area makes Glen Beach one of the hardest of Cape Town's beach breaks to surf and has resulted in a strong local atmosphere.

Nightlife

If you thought Camps Bay was amazing during the day, wait till you see it when the sun goes down. Take a walk down "the strip", the main road in Camps Bay, and enjoy the abundance of restaurants, trendy bars and other eateries available to you. If you're in the mood for some live entertainment, there is even a theatre nearby, Theatre on the Bay, where regular plays and other live acts can be enjoyed.
